The 10th game in the Touhou Project line of frenetic shoot-em-ups has arrived! Autumn has arrived to the mystic land of Gensokyo, and with it a dwindling of faith in the diety of the Hakurei Shrine, principal meeting ground of the faerie spirits of Gensokyo. When a mysterious stranger from another shrine pays a visit to demand that Hakurei Shrine close its doors, Reimu Hakurei (the shrine's miko priestess) and her friend Marisa Kirisame decide to investigate this new, competing shrine at the top of Youkai mountain. You play as one of the two, choosing which of their arsenal of attacks you'll command as you gather the game's new 'faith points' and gain the ability to use more 'bomb' special abilities based on your current faith level. The game also features the ability to overlay custom text over the stage maps, providing notes to yourself of past hazards or the ability to download simple tutorials for play.
