Friends of J-List Affiliate Program

Thanks for your interest in the Friends of J-List program, a great way for fans of J-List's unique brand of Japanese pop culture to help evangelize J-List, and get paid back for your hard work, either in cash or as store credit (your choice). As you may have read on our Friends of J-List information page, our program is very flexible and there are many ways to link to J-List, either to our site directly, or to individual products as graphic or text links.

We know that websites and blogs come in many different sizes, so we've made many different kinds of graphics for you to use to promote J-List. Adding the graphic to your site couldn't be easier -- after you've been approved for the program, log in, click Links at the top of the page, and click "Get HTML" for the graphic you want to paste. We host all images so joining Friends of J-List doesn't even cost you any bandwidth!

Note: All these banners are set up to provide affiliate credit to one of our test sites. Don't copy and paste HTML code out of this page, as you need code that's tailor made for your own website account. Use the Links page on the Affiliate Console to accurately create the proper HTML code for you. Also note that we make different banner sizes quite often and the banners here aren't all the sizes that are available.

First of all, we've got standard sizes graphics, such as this "PG" banner that only shows products suitable for any site.

Note that it's perfectly okay for yout to edit the text below the graphic, and in fact, we encourage it (a recommendation in your own words are likely to be more effective with your readers than anything we could write).

If your site can handle products with a bit of an "edge" (including adult products), here's a graphic you might consider.

We belive that many websurfers are conditioned against these standard graphics, and anyway, it's hard to make products fit into that small height. Here is a wider banner that we think looks better.

For J-Snack fans, a "double height, standard width" graphic showing snacks. We like the height of this graphic since it gives us room to show more interesting products/

We've got quite a few square "button" type graphics which randomize daily, showing different products. They are nice and out of the way, and go great on the left or right side of your site. Several of these graphics, sucha s the "sigle product" ones, randomize daily, showing a new graphic each day.

The graphics we like the best are the tall tower graphics, that give us room to show some of the many products we sell. They also go well with many sites, since they can be put in place along the left or right sides. They show a different graphic each day.

Here are some "specialty towers" that feature specific products, great if your blog has a specific focus, or if you think these graphics would be of interest to your readers. These do not randomize every day (since they are theme-specific).

J-List sells a lot of "hentai" games, dating-sims for PCs that are popular with many fans. Here are two standard towers that randomly show a different product every time the image is reloaded. We have one showing all our hentai games, and another graphic only featuring the more tasteful images that are less risque (on the right).

This is a sort of "half tower" that is more compact than a full 600 pixel tower. This randomizes daily, showing a different image each day (great for your repeat visitors, who will get to see something new each time they look at our graphic) .

Here's a graphic we like, a randomizing 325x60 graphic showing adult and other products. It randomizes through 8 different graphics.

Here are some larger graphics that get a lot of clicks since there's enough room to show products and make them look good.

New! We now have auto-updating Javascript code that lets you display the "top products" from J-List in various categories (which you have complete control over) on your site.

Text links are an extremely easy way to link to any product, category, or page on J-List. The linking system used by the Friends of J-List is very advanced, and you can link to any URL, be it an individual product, category like anime toys or T-shirts, or search string ("Totoro plush"). Here are some examples of the kinds of HTML links you can create.

Important note: replace the "87" in the URLs below with the "click" number for your affiliate account and website. If you have the wrong number in place, someone else will get credit for your clicks.

We're sure that actively creating text links in your website, based on new and current J-List products, will give you a high rate of clicks and a lot of sales. If you're picking the items directly, then the links become part of your site's content, something you're passing on to your readers, just like your normal content. If you have a blog, why not post a footer at the end of every entry, something like this?
