The apocalypse known as "The Third" occurred as a result of mankind's tasting the deadly fruit of nuclear technology. The massive radiation released in the holocaust of world war mingled with the genetic fallout from biological weapons, creating horrific mutations that came to be called "Yoma". These beasts bred in the bodies of humans and multiplied, covering the blighted landscape and pushing humanity to the brink of extinction.

It is now the year 2048. As mankind's final gamble in the struggle against the Yoma, a squad of genetically engineered cyborgs was created - the A.S.S.P. Its members posses combat ability far beyond that of normal humans, and have been programmed with the complete database of anti-Yoma strategies and tactics researched over years of war. These female biosoldiers have become humanity's last line of defense against total annihilation, and you have been chosen to command them.

Pretty Soldier Wars A.D. 2048 is a battle simulation adventure game for adults that puts you in the command seat of humankind's last effort to preserve its existence on post apocalyptic Earth. Alpha. Created as the founding member and interim field commander of the A.S.S.P. Proficient in the use of all major firearms and vehicles, she has proven reliable in every combat situation she has encountered. Favored weapon: TF-1 rifle. Age N/A.	Marie. A general-purpose biosoldier well suited for a variety of missions. She easily falls prey to mental stress, however, and has been recently overlooked for deployment on harsher assignments. Favored weapon: DFS-40G submachine gun. Age N/A.	Misa. A unit designed with superior reflexes and athletic ability. Skilled in close-quarter combat, her mental state is also quite stable due to her incredible hatred for Yoma. Favored weapon: K-247F automatic. Age N/A.

Saeko Amagi. The only non-biosoldier member of the A.S.S.P. Due to her incredible reflexes and "sixth sense" she is a match for her cyborg counterparts in close combat, though as a natural human she lacks endurance by comparison. Favored weapon: high frequency blade. Age 19.	Mikako. Designed along the same "command unit" specifications as Alpha, due to her lack of experience she is currently relegated to backup duty. She is known for her mobility and accuracy in battle, though her mental resistance is mid-range. Favored weapon: MT-216 assault rifle. Age N/A.	Haruka. A multi-purpose unit whose ferocity is unquestioned, her lack of control in the heat of battle is her only potential weakness. While currently acting as the berserker of the A.S.S.P., with some restraint she could be headed for the commander's post. Favored weapon: A301L3 shotgun. Age N/A.

Ayumi. While possessing the greatest potential among her A.S.S.P. peers, as of now her strongest point is her superb mobility. She often acts unconsciously in combat situations, though whether out of weakness or strength is unknown. Favored weapon: MT-002 revolver. Age N/A.	MV-11. The first armor-suit prototype biosoldier unit to be produced, her (?) thought processes are linked directly to the suit's operation. Early data has shown her to be lethally effective in combat, though extensive field testing will be required to determine her full range of capabilities. Favored weapon: micro vulcan. Age N/A.	Reiko Kirihara. Chief executive officer of the A.S.S.P. She served as the biosoldiers' field commander during the project trial phase, but has deferred leadership to you now that the unit is to be officially deployed. Incredibly charismatic, with superb leadership, organizational, tactical, and strategic ability. Age 31.
