Voted the most highly acclaimed bishoujo game of all time!*
"What is family?"
This question lies at the heart of Family Project ~Kazoku Keikaku~, the newest game from G-Collections and one of the most reknowned titles in visual novel history. In it you portray Tsukasa, a fiercely independent youth who lost his parents at an early age and now spends his days working at a Chinese restaurant to make ends meet.
Reluctant to form interpersonal ties lest they be shattered, Tsukasa is nonetheless unable to abandon the illegal immigrant girl he finds collapsed in the alley behind his workplace one day. Confronted by her utter helplessness he takes her in, an encounter that opens the door to a new life - one where he faces the challenge and wonder of being no longer alone.
Tsukasa soon finds himself at the unwilling nexus of even more lives, attracting a band of misfits and social outcasts around him that swell beyond the confines of his small apartment. They find shelter in an abandoned house, where despite Tsukasa's lingering doubts a pact is formed: the "family project", an alliance of mutual convenience and utilitarian support that despite the mistrust and antagonism among its members soon comes to mean much more.
As Tsukasa you must navigate the ins and outs of your newfound family life, deciding for yourself what matters most, who to protect and defend and how best to shelter a fragile and precious love increasingly beset by outside forces. Moments of laughter, tears, and profound emotion mingle as you chart your own course toward the true meaning of "family".
G-Collections is proud to present the crown jewel of Japanese maker D.O.'s lineup and a legend of the bishoujo gaming universe, Family Project ~Kazoku Keikaku~. With a scenario by Yamada Hajime, acclaimed author of Kana ~Little Sister~ and Hoshizora Planet as well as Yume Miru Kusuri** and others, music by I've Sound featuring Kotoko on opening vocals, beautiful artwork from Fukunaga Yumi, and a cast of world-class voice actors, Family Project ~Kazoku Keikaku~ is a defining tour de force in the visual novel canon that should not be missed by any true fan.
*Erogamescape ranking, based on aggregate mean score accessed July 12th, 2007
**Yume Miru Kusuri was written by Tanaka Romeo, assumed online to be Yamada Hajime's alternate pen name. While no official confirmation of this has ever been provided, circumstantial evidence is overwhelming.

 |
Takayashiki Hiroshi
Real Name: Hirota Hiroshi
Voiced By: Hiruma Kyounosuke
A middle-aged former salaryman, now unemployed, with a collection of odd mannerisms and a mysterious past. From the moment he first takes advantage of Tsukasa's hospitality the two engage in the sort of sparring that marks either sworn enemies or fast friends. Formation of the family project is his idea, and when it finally comes together he takes the helm in the father role.
|
Takayashiki Masumi
Real Name: Itakura Masumi
Voiced By: MIWAKO
Swindled by a con man who takes advantage of her and leaves her bankrupt, she is about to jump off a bridge and end her life when Tsukasa saves her from falling. Despite her glamorous looks she is bipolar and insecure, and she latches on to Tsukasa as her source of stability in an uncertain world. She takes the mother's role in the Takayashiki family.
|
Takayashiki Aoba
Real Name: Takayashiki Aoba
Voiced By: Hokuto Minami
The daughter of a wealthy family, in rebellion against her parents she flees to one of their unoccupied houses - the Takayashiki residence where Tsukasa has taken shelter. While she aims to make a living as a portrait artist in a nearby park, her utter lack of ability and penchant for drawing people "as she sees them" leave her effectively unemployed. She is the cool, haughty picture of a refined heiress, but her prickly exterior hides a profound emotional insecurity. She reluctantly accepts the role of eldest daughter in the family project.

Takayashiki Jun
Real Name: Ookawara Jun
Voiced By: Sugisawa Junko
An introverted girl with money always on her mind, she currently makes a living doing odd jobs around town. She is extremely withdrawn and difficult to engage in conversation, though she was friends with Tsukasa in their college days until she suddenly disappeared from his class. Due to food-related trauma the only things she eats are block-type nutritional supplements. When the family project is formed she takes the role of second daughter.
|
Takayashiki Haruka
Real Name: Wang Chunhua
Voiced By: Sasa Rumiko
An innocent, purehearted girl who smuggled herself into Japan in search of her estranged mother. After a string of misadventures she was found and taken in by Tsukasa, where the game's story begins; blissful ignorance of her precarious situation is both a strength and weakness of her character. Her skills as a masseuse are legendary, and when the family project launches she willingly takes the role of the third Takayashiki daughter.
|
Takayashiki Matsuri
Real Name: Kawara Matsuri
Voiced By: Katase Yui
A girl who ran away from home and has been living in a cardboard shelter in a public park. After a storm destroys her home she finds refuge in the Takayashiki house, where she meets Tsukasa and the others. Despite her bad luck she's kept an honest and refreshingly unaffected personality, with a few notable quirks - she's a devoted boys' love fan, and when put on the topic she is quite enthusiastic about S&M yaoi. When the family project is proposed she is one of its staunchest advocates, and happily adopts the role of youngest child.
