Welcome to the world of Figures of Happiness, a love story that goes beyond life and death!

Minamo is a pure and romantic girl who can be quite clumsy at times, and she's in love with the handsome Satoru, a boy in her class. While working at her part-time job, Minamo spies Ryo and his girlfriend Mio as they eat together, their love for each other clearly visible in their eyes. She wishes she could sit like that with Satoru, but she knows she's too shy to ever come out and confess her feelings to him.

Soon after, Minamo is killed in an accident. Filled with remorse at not seizing her chance for love while she was alive, she visits Ryo and asks for his help. If he'll lend her his own life force, she'll be able to tell her feelings to Satoru. Ryo doesn't know until it's too late that lending Minamo his life energy will turn him into a lifeless spirit!

And so the wheels of fate turn, winding the destinies of everyone together: dead Minamo and her reluctant helper Ryo; the pure Mio and her carefree twin sister Mao; the competitive Kokoro, who won't give up Satoru without a fight; the lonely spirit Izumi; and the perplexing Soul Collector. Minamo. A waitress at Blue Cosmos, Minami sees Ryo and Mio together, and wishes she had the courage to tell Satoru, the man she's in love with, about her feelings. When she suddenly dies, it's up to Ryo to help her dream come true. Age 19.	Narumi. Also a waitress at Blue Cosmos, she attends a different school than Ryo and Minamo. She has psychic powers that allow her to talk to ghosts. She is secretly in love with the main character. Age 18.


Mio. A solemn and beautiful girl, Mio is Ryo's girlfriend. As the class president, she's earned the trust of her classmates, but she has a clumsy side to her personality as well, and can be very jealous. When Ryo's life force leaves his body, she finds him unconscious and is very worried. Age 18.	Mao. The twin sister of Mio, Mao is just as pretty but is much more light-hearted. She's been like a sister to Ryo, but she secretly loves him, although she has to hide this to avoid hurting Mio. Age 18.


Izumi. A sad girl with special powers who often leaves her body and floats around in spirit form in an attempt to escape the pressures of the real world. She meets Ryo, who wishes he could do something to bring her happiness. Age 20.	Kokoro. An odd girl who goes to the same school as Minamo, she has a bright and cheerful personality, but is childish. Like Minamo, she's secretly in love with Satoru, and tries her best to steal him from her. Her best friends are two hamsters which she throws at people sometimes.


Miss Death. She is a Soul Collector, an ethereal being who flies around collecting wandering souls, leading them to the land of light. She does her best to help Ryo even though he's not really dead. She's an attractive spirit whose body gets small when she loses energy.
