Japanese Calendars: JPOP and JROCK

Welcome to Japanese calendar season! J-List is happy to bring Japan's high-quality large-size calendars to everyone again this year, as we've been doing since we started J-List back in 1996 when J-List opened officially.

In case you haven't seen the beautiful and glossy calendars that are popular in Japan, think of the high-quality, shiny pages in a good Japanese photobook -- but reproduced in large-size for your wall. Most calendars are "B2" size, which is 28 x 20 inches (anime calendars tend to be smaller and cheaper, see the size table for more information). Most calendars have seven pages, meaning you have a poster-size cover page and six calendar pages with two months on each page. You can display the front page of the calendar on your wall while you wait for the new year to begin.

Unfortunately, the window for us to order these calendars is very narrow, and we can only guarantee availability of these calendars through mid-October.

Shipping (SAL) on calendars is $5-6 per calendar, plus $2 for a tube (we have really strong ones this year). Up to two calendars can be sent in one tube (they will be opened and carefully rolled). NOTE: If you order four or more calendars, we'll give you your tubes for free!

Japan's calendars are a really special way to spend your year, with beautiful, glossy pages and great characters and photography -- everything from lovely JPOP and idols to rare anime calendars to actors and more. Because J-List is dedicated to bringing you Japan's unique pop culture in all its beautiful forms, we go all-out to make sure not just the top few calendars are available, but virtually all of them, with hundreds and hunrdreds of calendars to choose from. Enjoy a unique year with your favorite Japanese singers, actresses, AV stars, and other characters -- you'll love it! Also, they make excellent gifts for friends, too!

iTunes Japan Music CardiTunes Japan Music Card

ITUNESCARD   iTunes Japan Music Card
This item is in stock in Japan.   Weight: 200 g.   $20/$38
Product type: iTunes Japan Music Card
Buy Now!Save to Wishlist
Apple's iTunes Music Store is incredibly popular in Japan, with hundreds of thousands of tracks of great music from Japan available for 150 or 200 yen per song. For fans of Japanese music around the world it doesn't seem possible to buy through the Japan iTMS, without a Japanese address and credit card. There is a way, however -- using the Japanese iTunes Music Card from Apple! A prepaid card that's charged with money for music purchases, this is a great way for J-POP/J-ROCK fans all over the world to get access to Japan's top-name music directly through their Mac or PCs.

When you click the Add to Cart button for this product, you'll be able to choose a Music Card with the new denominations of 1500 or 3000 yen of credit on it. You can also choose to have the card sent to you normally through the mail from Japan, have the J-List staff send you a scan of your card number through email, or opt for both.

Once you have your iTMS Japan code, follow these easy steps:

  1. Load iTunes on your Mac or PC. If you don't have it yet, download it from Apple.
  2. If you've already got an account in your home country, sign out by clicking on the Account button in the upper left hand corner, then Sign Out.
  3. At the bottom of the iTunes Music Store window, choose the Japan Store. The name may appear in kanji, but it's easy to find.
  4. Click the Redeem button along the right side of the iTMS, and enter the scratch-off Redeem Code printed on the back of the card when asked.
  5. iTunes will show you a dialog box asking for your current account. Since we're making a new iTMS account for the Japan sture, click Create Account.
  6. Follow the steps to create a new account, first agreeing to the iTunes agreement (step 1 of 3), then entering email, birthdate and verification question (step 2).

Important: When signing up for an iTunes account with a pre-paid card, some customers have reported that iTMS won't let you proceed without entering a credit card. In order to bypass this, hit the "Home" button and begin the Redeem process again, and you'll see the "None" button the second time through. This is a known issue that affects Japanese users in Japan as well.

  7. At step 3, where you are asked for your (Japanese) address. You can enter any address you like. Note that you must enter your name twice, once for "kanji" and once for "pronunciation" (but you can enter the same information into both fields). You can do this in English or any language that's supported by iTunes -- the ability to read Japanese is never required for the iTunes Japan Store -- so for the phonetic spelling you can just enter the same normal English characters as the other 'name' fields. Note that there is no verification performed for any of this information, so you can enter any random address you like.
  8. Enjoy purchasing great music and audio content directly from Japan in the Japan iTunes Music Store! Now that you have an account tied to a prepaid card, you can get full access to the "Free iTunes Single of the Week" from Japan, and future prepaid card credit can be added to your existing account.

Music from the Japanese iTunes Store is fully compatible with iTunes and iPods from any country. iTunes has no issues with maintaining multiple accounts in more than one music store. It couldn't be simpler! And best of all, you can surf and buy music from your iPhone (version 1.1.1 firmware or higher) or iPod Touch! Just make sure you're signed in to the Japan iTunes Music Store with iTunes when you sync the iPhone/iPod Touch and login data will be carried over.

Note: J-List is providing this iTunes Japan Music Card as a service to J-List customers. The cards must be used in accordance with Apple's iTunes online store policies. iTunes music cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash in any currency after purchases are processed. Offer void where prohibited. (More like this) (Direct link to this product)

A perfect supplement to Shoxx magazine, this is Cure, an ultra hip, oversized J-rock magazine dedicated to avid fans of Japanese punk and gothic culture. Coining itself as a "Japaneseque Rock and Visual Styling Magazine," it's a wonderful trip to a rare underground youth culture with dark themes, rebelliously wild fashion, and a vibrant energy that can only be recreated by attending the concerts these bands perform in. Each issue dedicates itself to an unheard of 20-30 pages for a band of the moment, complete with drool worthy pictures perfect for scanning on your desktop or adorning you walls and gives you the latest and greatest of new and up coming bands. Wacky candid moments and backstage behind the scenes passes provide a humorous as well as human element to their otherwise Godly appearance to bring you closer to these superstars. Although the text is written in the original Japanese language we highly recommend this magazine for the tons of vibrant photos and extras (such as the large poster of the cover band) you'll receive with each issue. If you love Japanese J-rock, we highly recommend purchasing this reserve subscription to get future issues delivered directly to your door. A great monthly magazine to add to your collection. Each issue is perfect bound (no staple) to look great on a shelf.

This magazine subscription can be purchased on a revolving basis (where we'll reserve and bill each issue as it comes in) or annually (for a flat fee w/ SAL shipping included). (More like this) (Direct link to this product)
