There are many different chains in Japan -- Jonathan's, Royal Chef, Skylark/Gusto, Coco's, the aforemented Denny's to name a few -- which all have menus that appeal to any mood. This petite set parodies Denny's in particular, and this set is an education on the types of meals one would expect to find in Japan. This selection contains 10 different meals: 1) "irasshaimase", the greeting for when you walk in the door, this set has a menu, waiting list, water, etc; 2) club house sandwich; 3) Omlette rice with salad; 4) breaded pork cutlet dinner with rice and miso soup; 5) hamburger with rice and beer; 6) curry rice with salad; 7) "drink bar" with packets of tea, juice, and reservation card; 8) Children's set lunch; 9) dessert; 10) syrup covered bean jam and fruit. | | | The Japanese gashapon phenomenon is a fun way to explore the world of anime through small toys that come in capsules that are sold via coin-operated dispensers. The word gashapon is an onomatopoeia for the sound the capsule makes when falling through the dispenser. Soundrops are part of that world, each button-operated device has sound samples of various anime themes. This cool set of anime soundrops features sound effects with an Otoko-Moe theme (''mo-eh'' = passionate, otoko = guy) featuring voices of male anime character types, that will appeal to fans of yaoi manga (like Boy's Love), J-Pop boy bands, and cute Japanese guys. | | | Macross, known in the US as Robotech, is an anime classic and one of the first mecha anime to make it to the states to gain wide scale popularity. The VF-1 (Veritech Fighter) Valkrye is the centerpiece of variable (robot-transforming) fighter technology in the series, Veritech is short for Variable Engineering and Robotic Integration Technology. This is a special variant is the VF-1S, a single seat fighter armed with four head lasers that came to be known as 'Skull One', and was the first delivered fully functional Veritech fighter. Revoltech figures are known for their high degree of poseability, with revolver joints placed in 14 different locations on the body that have multiple lock-points that click into place just where you need them. There's also a slew of accessory parts included with this figure: 2 booster packs, gun pod, 2 propane tanks, 4 wing missile pods, 2 arm missile pods, 5 option hands, and two-position base stand. The cockpit has the VF-1 'Skull Squadron' skull and cross bones insignia. Because of it's high poseability, this figure does not transform (the norm for Revoltech). Stands 11cm tall from the base.
